In 1997, Smith Power acquired the distribution rights for the products of Polaris Industries, also of Minneapolis (USA). Polaris falls with in our division of off-road vehicles which was established to market and support the sales of Polaris quads and side-by-sides.

Smith Turf Equipment was established in 1991 when the company bought the distribution rights for Southern Africa from the Toro Company(USA). The Toro Company is a world-wide market leader in the supply of golf course maintenance machinery.
Club Car is an American company that manufactures electric and petrol-powered golf cars and utility carts for personal and commercial use. It is a business unit of the Ingersoll Rand Corporation in its Industrial Technologies division. Smith Power Equipment has been distributing it since 2014.
Smith Power Equipment has been distributing Kubota since 2000 when it acquired the sole distribution rights from the Kubota Corporation in Japan, who manufactures the world-wide leading brand of small tractors, TLB’s, compact excavators, diesel engines and utility vehicles.
Smith expanded again in the off-road vehicles division by adding distribution rights of the Linhai Power Machinery Group (China) for Linhai quads and side-by-sides. All Linhai products are currently being exported throughout the world.
AUSA manufactures the most compact and efficient equipment designed for load transportation, material handling and concrete production in the construction sector. The AUSA equipment has proven to be a must in all construction applications including those where a narrow access or rough terrain capabilities is required. Smith Power has been supporting the product since November 2017.
Kipor Silent and Ultra-Silent diesel generators, petrol generators and engines Kipor is well established as a global leader in the generator market and their products are being sold in more than 130 countries world-wide – Smith Power Equipment has sold over 28 000 units into the South African market.
Smith Power Generators has identified the best models for the South African consumer and small to medium enterprises, with a range of generators for home and business use. We import and distribute the most popular models such as the KDE6700TA, KDE8000TA and the KX20S3. We also do larger custom builds in South Africa to pass on the cost benefit of building and spec’ing locally.
KION Baoli is a brand of forklift trucks that was founded in China in 2003 and acquired in 2009 by the KION Group, the European market leader and the world’s second largest manufacturer of warehouse technology. Baoli EMEA is a new organisation, established in 2017. Smith Power Equipment has taken over distribution since 2018.
